Spray Technician

Job Summary: A Spray Technician sprays weeds with pre/post emergent, sprays broadleaf weeds in turf, applies fertilizer, and performs specialty spray work as well. A Spray Technician follows all EPA guidelines and chemical handling practices and carries a current Spray License.    

Job Type: Full-time- 40 hours per week with occasional opportunities for overtime.
Hourly: Varies based on experience

Job Responsibilities:

1. Ensures quality chemical and fertilizer application.
2. Understands how to apply and mix chemicals properly.
3. Responsible for meeting daily route/project requirements of Green Summit Contracts.
4. Oversees and manages 1 other person (spray tech helper).
5. Proactively manages spray needs for the maintenance accounts.
6. Responsible for safe operation of all equipment required to complete the work on any given workday.
7. Meets productivity budgets for hours, gross margin, and book revenue. This includes checking timecards for accuracy and adjusting the schedule as needed.
8. Meet with Account Manager, Field Operations Managers, and Crew Leaders on sites when needed.
9. Provides training as needed to Green Summit Team Members.

Operational Skills: 

Ability to operate a trencher, ability to drive a ¾ ton truck, or bigger, with a 18’ trailer hauling equipment. Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record. Current NMDA Spray Operator/Technician license preferred but can get one during first month of employment if you don’t have one already.
